The only game I can remember

This video re-edits a broadcast of the Czech Republic vs. Netherlands match from UEFA Euro 2004 by removing all moments in which the game is actively played. What remains are pauses: players waiting, repositioning, preparing for the ball to return. Presented on a television in a pub, the work blends into a familiar setting. At first glance, it resembles a normal match. Only over time does it reveal that the game never actually happens. The piece shifts attention from action to anticipation, exposing the unnoticed structures that hold the spectacle together.
