A handmade pulley system raises a curtain on a television screen, revealing what appears to be the reality behind it. By contrasting a DIY analogue mechanism with a mediated digital image, the film explores the fragile boundary between perception and illusion, human and machine. It reflects on how intelligent machines reshape our visual culture and challenge our ability to distinguish reality from representation. On the other hand the video invites the viewer to get out of the routine of perceiving reality through a machine, but experience it for real.
